In some cases, the Public Defender’s Office cannot represent a client. In those cases, a private attorney who has agreed to handle court appointed cases will be appointed to your case instead. These attorneys are called “Panel Attorneys.”

These attorneys do not work at the Fourth Circuit Public Defender Office. They are independent attorneys.

These attorneys change so it is impossible to provide a list that remains up-to-date.
